CONFIDENCE IN EVERY PLANK: YOUR LVP QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Making the switch to vinyl is a big decision. We address the top concerns about durability, waterproof performance, and installation to put your mind at ease.

  • Can LVP be installed over my existing tile or concrete?

In most cases, yes. LVP is a "floating floor" that can go over many existing hard surfaces, provided they are level and crack-free. This can save you money on demolition costs compared to other flooring types.

  • Will heavy furniture dent luxury vinyl planks?

High-quality LVP is designed with a dense core to resist indentation. However, for very heavy items like pianos or slate pool tables, we always recommend using wide, non-staining floor protectors under the legs to distribute the weight.

  • Is LVP slippery when wet?

Most of our luxury vinyl options feature a textured wear layer that mimics the grain of real wood or stone. This texture provides natural traction, making it a safer option than smooth tile for families with kids or seniors.
